Mackay: Hornets are working hard

The Hornets were tipped by many to struggle this year, but they have shrugged off their financial problems to emerge as outsiders for a play-off place.[LNB]Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Peterborough put a dent in their promotion aspirations, but Mackay is confident he can pick his players up ahead of the Boxing Day visit of Nottingham Forest.[LNB]"It's been a strange time at the club but the players focus on football, they concentrate on that," he said.[LNB]"They are a young group of players and for some of them it's their first year in this league. It's just finding consistency, they've got to earn the right to win games at times.[LNB]"We need to get back on the training ground to work hard before the next game."[LNB][LNB]
