Loach bemoans DeMerit absence
The USA international is currently sidelined with an eye injury which may require surgery and missed Saturday's 4-0 home defeat by Cardiff.
"Jay's a great skipper and a great guy, that's why he is captain and why he plays for America," said Loach.
"He's got a lot of experience at this level so we do miss him, but the lads in this team are good, hard workers, even though we are young."
