Hornets win O'Toole appeal

Watford will have John-Joe O'Toole available for Saturday's trip to Charlton Athletic after winning an appeal over a red card handed out to the midfielder in midweek.

O'Toole was sent off during Tuesday's 1-0 win over Leicester City after the referee controversially ruled he pulled back Stephen Clemence when in a goalscoring opportunity.

After hearing the card had been rescinded, manager Adrian Boothroyd said: "It's a sensible decision and made with common sense in mind."

Meanwhile, defender Jay DeMerit and forward Tommy Smith will both be available for the trip to The Valley after recovering from injury.
