Hornets swoop for Rose

Watford manager Brendan Rodgers has brought Tottenham teenager Danny Rose to Vicarage Road on loan until the end of the season. The 18-year-old midfielder moved to White Hart Lane from Leeds United at the start of the 2007-08 season and has impressed Rodgers in the past. He told the Hornets' official website: "Danny was a boy that I was aware of from his time at Leeds United. "He's a highly talented, committed player and is left-sided. He's been on my radar for some time. "He's highly thought of in this country and at the time I first looked at him he decided to stay at Leeds and then, later on, went to Tottenham. "As a footballer he's got a big talent. He's been out injured for a little while but we've taken him for a look at him with a view to next season as well."
