Watford added midfielder Don Cowie and Aleksandrs Cauna to their struggling squad on transfer deadline day.
Cowie, 25, joined the Hornets for a nominal fee from Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The midfielder was out of contract in the summer and has penned a two-and-a-half year deal at Vicarage Road.
Meanwhile, Latvia winger Cauna joined the Championship club on loan from Skonto Riga until the end of the campaign.
The 21-year-old is a full international and has previously had a trial at Chelsea.
