Hornets ace sees positives

Watford forward Tommy Smith insists his team-mates have taken plenty of positives from Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Cardiff City despite failing to hold on for the win.

The Hornets conceded two goals in the final 18 minutes following the dismissal of striker Tamas Priskin, but remain in confident mood according to Smith.

"We've a lot of character and resilience in this side. That's something that the manager installs in us, we'll always have that," he told the club's official website.

"I thought we'd weathered the storm, but they scored at the wrong time and then scored again which meant the hard work of the team had been undone."

The Hornets face high-flying Wolves on Saturday and Smith has backed his colleagues to get their recent upturn in results back on track.

He added: "All the games are tough. We will fancy ourselves here and it would be great to get something out of it.

"We have positives to take from Tuesday and we will build on that for Saturday."
