The Hornets were charged by the FA after players' behaviour towards the referee and linesman during the game on March 18. Cardiff scored a controversial penalty in the seventh minute of injury time after Ross Jenkins was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area. The FA statement read: "Watford admitted the charge of failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and the result was confirmed at a personal hearing."
