Former Hornets chief in court U-turn

Ashton was seeking £300,000 from Watford Leisure Plc following his resignation last December, having issued legal proceedings for breach of contract in May.[LNB]The court proceedings have now been withdrawn, with Watford revealing Ashton will make a "significant contribution" to their legal costs.[LNB]Ashton's successor, Julian Winter, said: "Throughout, the club has maintained that Mr Ashton's claims were without merit.[LNB]"I'm pleased that Mr Ashton has withdrawn his claim and that he will be reimbursing the club for some of the costs incurred."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
