Ellington set for Watford exit

Striker Nathan Ellington has resigned himself to leaving Watford as the club continue to slash their wage bill in preparation for the end of parachute payments from the Premier League.

If the former Wigan and West Brom hitman was to leave, he would join an already extensive list of high earners who have been forced to move away from Vicarage Road for cost-cutting reasons.

"The circumstances that I find myself in and that the club's in, I think it's actually best that I will end up moving pretty soon," Ellington revealed on Sky Sports News.

"I'm very happy at the club; the training facilities, everything's good. The manager's happy with me, the chairman. The fans are great as well.

"Everything's great at the club, it's just the circumstances that we're in at the moment."
