Dargo tips McGinn for Hornets glory

McGinn rejected a new offer from the Paisley club back in October and was quickly linked with a move south of the border.[LNB]Both clubs agreed a fee this week, with the 21-year-old signing a two-and-a-half year deal on Friday after passing a medical.[LNB]And, despite admitting the loss of one of their key players is a blow, Dargo insists the youngster fully deserves his big break.[LNB]"He is a loss," said the Saints striker.[LNB]"He is a very good player and a talented youngster. You want to keep your best players at the club and we would rather he was still here.[LNB]"But he deserves it, he's a good lad and we wish him all the best. He has all the right qualities going for him and I think he will do well down there.[LNB]"He is still young, which you've got to remember, and I think he can go far."[LNB]Boss Gus MacPherson is now waiting to hear whether the sale of McGinn will free up funds for him to strengthen his own squad this month and Dargo added: "Some new players would be nice - as long as they are not strikers.[LNB]"Seriously, that would depend on whether the manager gets the money available to bring new faces.[LNB]"Of course it's good for the team to bring in new faces, it always spices things up a bit and adds extra competition for places."[LNB]Saints travel to Tynecastle this weekend aiming for their second win of the season over Hearts after their last meeting with the Jambos provided their long-awaited first win at the new stadium they moved into last January.[LNB]"We believe in what we can do and we believe we can get results against anybody," said Dargo.[LNB]"Fair enough, it took us a while to get our first league win at the new stadium but we beat Celtic in the cup here.[LNB]"It was good to get the win and, once we beat Hearts in the league, we have gone from strength to strength and won a few more games.[LNB]"We expect at hard game because it's at Tynecastle and the atmosphere is always good there and they are tough opposition there.[LNB]"It's going to be a tough ask for us to go there but we've had three wins on the bounce and are looking to continue our good run."[LNB]Saints have notched up wins over Kilmarnock, Alloa and Aberdeen in their last three outings and Dargo added: "We have played a lot better at times and come away with nothing.[LNB]"Maybe the last three games haven't been our best performances but we have won the games.[LNB]"Sometimes when you can win when you are playing badly, you can take it on from there.[LNB]"We are not complaining anyway and we would take another poor performance and three points any day."[LNB][LNB] Hearts 4/5, Draw 5/2, St Mirren 7/2
