Come on You Horns ... The Latest

Next up is Aidy Boothroyd's Coventry City; Malky has asked for the Watford fans to give Aidy a warm reception - I will be there to clap one of Watford's most successful managers   A great start to the season for The Hornets, two games played and two wins. I expected a win against Aldershot but at 7.30pm last Friday I could only see a home win for the Canaries - The Golden Boys got off to a cracking start when skipper John Eustace led by example and netted from a corner after just 14 minutes, I avoided getting too excited, nine minutes later that all changed when Danny Graham scored his first of the night and Watford's second. Norwich pulled one back when Crofts scored on his debut only for Danny Graham to score his second in the 81st minute which killed off the game.  Tuesday night saw Danny Graham bag another brace, he is a strike in form - A major positive for a club short on experienced strikers. The other goal came from ex-trainee Marvin Sordell who scored his first senior goal for the club. With Danny Graham in form, young Marvin Sordell showing promise and new signing Troy Denney the goals should come which will help propel the team up the league. Watford announced their first loan signing of the season, Malky has brought in Birmingham's young midfielder Jordon Mutch for a month. Watford are awaiting confirmation on whether he will be eligible for the Coventry City game. Mutch had a successful loan spell last season with Doncaster Rovers where he made 17 appearances and scored two goals as, he is currently an England U19 international. Next up is Aidy Boothroyd's Coventry City;  Malky has asked for the Watford fans to give Aidy a warm reception - I will be there to clap one of Watford's most successful managers and the only manager other than Graham Taylor  who has managed to provide us with top flight football following a very unexpected promotion. Coventry got off to good start beating Portsmouth 2-0 last Saturday only to lose 2-0 to League Two Morecambe in the Carling Cup during the week. It should be a good game, hard to predict but if the Hornets play as they did against Norwich there is no reason they shouldn't get the maximum points come 5pm on Saturday.  Be lucky … Keep Smiling Scottie B A great start to the season for The Hornets, two games played and two wins.
