Boothroyd: More to come
20 Sep 2007 - 11:43:49
Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd has warned the rest of the Championship that his in-form side are still far from their best.
The Hornets moved to the top of the table following Wednesday's 2-1 victory at Cardiff City, but Boothroyd believes there is much more to come from his pre-season promotion favourites.
Darius Henderson made it four goals in two games with one in each half for the visitors at Ninian Park.
"We rode our luck and weathered some storms, defended well and ground out a result without playing that well," he admitted.
"It says a lot that (goalkeeper) Mart Poom was our man of the match with some great saves.
"Darius Henderson is on fire and scoring goals and I've never been in the position before to be able to leave players such as Marlon King and Jobi McAnuff on the bench.
"We know we have plenty of work to do but I don't think we will be at our best until January."
