Boothroyd reunion for O'Toole
The 20-year-old, who has not made an appearance for the Hornets this season, has agreed a switch to the League One side until December 31.
O'Toole will link up again with Boothroyd, who gave him his Watford debut in August 2007 and was named new Colchester boss on Wednesday morning.
The loan switch was tied up prior to Tuesday's transfer deadline.
