Defender Tom Aldred believes he will develop as a player following his move from Carlisle to Watford. The 20-year-old shunned a new deal at Carlisle to make the step up at Vicarage Road and is confident of making the grade under Malky Mackay. He said: "The gaffer told me about the younger players in the squad and judging by what I`ve seen already they seem a talented bunch of lads. "The development of youth was a key factor in my move here and the facilities are fantastic. "It is a big leap between League One and the Championship but I'm up for the challenge and have the belief in my ability."
