Walsall have completed the signing of Tommy Wright on a two-month loan deal from Barnsley.
The 22-year-old's goals helped fire the Tykes to promotion to the Championship last season but has been used mainly as a substitute during the current campaign.
"I am delighted to be able to bring Tommy in on loan until January with a view to a permanent deal," Saddlers boss Richard Money told the club's official website.
"He is a player that I have known about since he was a youngster. He is strong, aggressive, good in both boxes and runs the channels well.
"His arrival will give everyone a boost and I feel that he will do well for us.
"He's had decent loan spells at Brentford and Blackpool in the past and has played in the first-team for Barnsley this season."
