Walsall winger Darren Wrack was a happy man after starting his first game in well over a year, as he helped the Saddlers beat Torquay United 1-0.
The 31-year-old had not begun a game since breaking his leg against Yeovil Town in September 2005 and was delighted to have lasted the full 90 minutes against the Gulls.
He told the Walsall Observer: "The leg gave me no problem whatsoever and the best thing for me was to go into a 50/50 after ten minutes.
"That's just what I needed - to get that out of the way. I was very pleased overall, especially with my work-rate. I felt better and stronger than I thought I would.
"I thought I would probably play 70 or 75 minutes, but I felt strong and was still running around at the end, which is a good sign."
