Walsall have been linked with a move for wantaway Torquay United forward Jamie Ward.
The 20-year-old former Aston Villa trainee has had a transfer request rejected by the League Two basement side, but seems set to move on after attracting interest from a number of clubs.
Table-topping Walsall reportedly head that queue, despite Torquay wishing to keep Ward at the club to boost their relegation fight.
Gulls chairman Chris Roberts told his club's official website: "Jamie Ward is going nowhere unless we receive a financial offer we cannot turn down."
Ward joined Torquay on a free transfer in the summer and has scored eight goals in 27 appearances this term.
