Lalkovic worry for Saddlers

Walsall forward Milan Lalkovic could miss the home clash with Shrewsbury through injury.

The on-loan Chelsea youngster was forced to come off at half-time during Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Bradford and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

James Baxendale is Lalkovic's likely replacement and that could be the only change to Walsall's starting line-up.

The win at Valley Parade extended their unbeaten run to four games and moved them to within five points of the play-off places.

Shrewsbury defender Jermaine Grandison will be assessed.

Grandison limped off with a hamstring injury in the first half of the midweek draw against Carlisle and is a doubt.

Central midfielder Dave McAllister missed the clash at Brunton Park with an ankle problem picked up in the previous game and also faces a race against time to be fit.

Luke Summerfield (thigh), Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (hamstring) and Tom Bradshaw (knee) remain sidelined as the Shrews look for a win which could move them to safety.
