Walsall's Bradshaw remains a doubt

Walsall could still be without top scorer Tom Bradshaw against Port Vale as he struggles with a hamstring problem.

The Saddlers are unlikely to risk the 15-goal star, along with James Chambers who has been missing with his own hamstring problem.

Jordan Cook and Anthony Forde are doubtful with groin injuries they suffered against Rochdale on Tuesday.

James Baxendale is likely to start should either fail to make it.

Vale boss Rob Page could make changes in defence.

The Valiants have not kept a clean sheet since a 1-0 home win against Rochdale on November 15 and after seeing his side gift Bristol City at least two of their three goals in midweek, the Welshman said: "We are leaking goals and the sooner that stops the better. We will address it straight away and if we have to make changes we will do. It is as simple as that."

If Page, whose side were beaten 3-1 at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night, does freshen things up at the back then Ryan McGivern could be recalled. Adam Yates is also an option while Crystal Palace teenager Ryan Inniss joined the club on loan on Thursday and is expected to be involved.

Joint-leading scorer Ben Williamson has a chance of returning from the hamstring problem that has ruled him out of the last two matches, while fellow forward Colin Daniel will be assessed after he missed out through injury against Bristol City.
