Saddlers boosted by news on duo Florent Cuvelier and Will Grigg are both available for Walsall's home clash against Crewe as the midlands club look to halt a four-match losing sequence. Influential midfielder Cuvelier was forced off after 58 minutes of last Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury having taken a couple of knocks but the Belgium Under-21 international has been passed fit to face the Alex. Striker Will Grigg has returned unscathed from Northern Ireland's superb 1-1 draw in Portugal on Tuesday, where he was an unused substitute. James Chambers is the only absentee although the defender is nearing his return after a thigh injury. Chambers played for Walsall's reserves in midweek and now only needs further minutes under his belt before being considered for first-team selection. Crewe will be without forward Ajay Leitch-Smith for the trip to Walsall. Leitch-Smith suffered ankle ligament damage during last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth and is facing around a month on the sidelines. Abdul Osman could return to the Alex midfield after recovering from an ankle injury. Osman travelled to Fratton Park but boss Steve Davis decided two days of training was not sufficient to merit the risk. Veteran goalkeeper Steve Phillips is back in the Railwaymen's squad following knee surgery in the summer, although he is expected to take a place on the substitutes' bench initially with Alan Martin retained between the posts. Teenage winger Ryan Colclough remains on the sidelines with a broken jaw.
