Walker blow for Saddlers

Walsall manager Chris Hutchings has been dealt a major blow with the news experienced goalkeeper Jimmy Walker will miss the busy Christmas period with a hamstring injury. Walker was absent as the Saddlers moved off the bottom of League One with a 1-0 win over Charlton at the weekend and Hutchings confirmed the 37-year-old will be out until the New Year. He told the Express and Star: "Jimmy tweaked his hamstring in training so he could be two or three weeks, which is a blow. "But I was delighted for Jonny [Jon Brain] to come in and keep a clean sheet. He didn't have much to do and that was a pleasing aspect of our defensive play."
