Vincent tips trio for big future
Recently departed defender Jamie Vincent has backed three of Walsall's young defenders to go on and achieve big things in the game - but only if they do the basics right at Walsall this season.
Manny Smith, Darryl Westlake and Clayton McDonald are all still under 23 but Vincent, who left the Saddlers last week for personal reasons, has tipped the three to have a bright future in the game.
He told the Express and Star: "These boys should be going on to play at a higher level. They are still young, still learning and have the right attributes to be great players.
"They need to go out on a Saturday and do the basics right, that's what the best players do.
"If they have a good season they will get interest from bigger sides but the most important thing to do is concentrate on Walsall."
