Vincent relishing Robins clash

Vincent spent three years with the Robins but was released at the end of last season. He completed a switch to League One rivals Walsall, where he has thrived. The full-back, 34, has started all nine games for the Saddlers this term and is expected to line up against his old team-mates at the Banks's Stadium this weekend. "It's always nice to play against one of my former clubs, and in this case so soon after leaving Swindon," he told Town's official website. "When the fixtures came out it's one of the first games that I looked for. "I'm looking forward to it, home form hasn't been too bad for us. We need to start converting more chances like we did up at Tranmere last weekend (a 3-2 victory). Hopefully this weekend we can do just that. Prior to the Tranmere game we had kept a couple of clean sheets which was pleasing, but now we're looking for a few more goals at the other end and to try and get a few more wins." Referring to the opening-day 5-0 defeat at the Priestfield, Vincent added: "I was certainly surprised at the start to the season, I think Swindon's result at Gillingham surprised everyone. After that they seem to have picked up and Saturday should be a decent game."
