Thornton at the double for Orient

13 March 2010 18:35
Orient, who had not scored in their previous three games, were unable to find a breakthrough in the opening 45 minutes.[LNB]Their best effort came from a 28th-minute header from striker Scott McGleish which Walsall's Josh O'Keefe hooked over his own bar for a corner.[LNB]Orient broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute when Aaron Doran capitalised on Walsall's defensive uncertainty and crossed for Thornton to slide home.[LNB]The hosts added a second nine minutes later when Jonathan Tehoue and McGleish worked the ball in from the right and Thornton scored with a low shot.[LNB]Walsall never looked like finding a way back into the game and failed to muster an attempt on goal after the interval.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
