Taundry and Walker in contention

Richard Taundry and Jimmy Walker both stand a chance of being available as managerless Walsall play host to Huddersfield. Midfielder Taundry (ankle) will undergo a fitness test on Friday as he looks to make his return while the Saddlers are hopeful Walker could be in contention after he trained on Thursday following his lay-off with a hamstring complaint. Both would provide a big boost to caretaker manager Dean Smith as he looks to continue the club`s mini resurgence since taking over from sacked boss Chris Hutchings. Smith has led the Saddlers to away draws at fellow strugglers Tranmere and Bristol Rovers in his two games since taking charge and another positive result at home to the Terriers would really boost Walsall`s survival ambitions. Will Grigg and Julian Gray started at the Memorial Stadium on Tuesday in place of the benched Steve Jones and Jamie Paterson and it remains to be seen how Smith will line up this time around considering the potential returns of Taundry and Walker. That just leaves striker Darren Byfield (knee) out.
