Strike duo doubtful for Saddlers

Walsall have serious doubts over forwards Jon Macken and Reuben Reid for their FA Cup second-round tie at Torquay. The pair were substituted during Tuesday`s 3-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday nursing calf and hamstring injuries respectively, but manager Chris Hutchings will give them as much time as possible to make it. Their potential absence would come as a big blow to the Saddlers who are already without winger Martin Devaney (hamstring) and striker Darren Byfield (knee). Centre-back Clayton McDonald returned to training on Thursday after a hamstring problem but the trip to Plainmoor may come too soon. Fellow central defender Andy Butler is eligible having missed the first-round replay against Fleetwood as he was signed after the initial 1-1 draw between the two sides. Loanees Ryan McGivern and Liam Dickinson are available.
