Smith raring to go for Saddlers

The 20-year old was knocked out, and later taken to hospital, following an accidental aerial collision with Millwall goalkeeper David Forde during the 3-1 defeat at The Den. The defender was given the all clear earlier in the week and told the club's official website: "I remember going up for a corner and colliding with the keeper but don't remember too much after that. I remember a few things like Jon Whitney [physio] rushing over to me and asking me to squeeze his hand. "I also remember being put into a neck brace and being carried off the pitch to an ambulance. I was pretty calm but there seemed to be a lot of panic amongst the lads which made me a little nervous but I was in good hands. "Jon and the medical team were first-class. It's part-and-parcel of football. Would I do it again? Of course I would. "The next time we have a corner, I'll be up there looking to get on the end of it."
