Smith: We deserved a point
Walsall manager Dean Smith claimed his relegation-threatened team deserved a point despite crashing to their 10th home league defeat of the season - 2-0 against Leyton Orient.Goals in either half from Harry Kane and substitute Jonathan Tehoue meant the Saddlers slipped back into the relegation zone. Yet Smith said: "I don't think Orient deserved to beat us 2-0, but unfortunately we didn`t take our chances that came along."And from our point of view their two goals were sloppy to concede and the second one left us with a mountain to climb."I also felt we should have had a penalty in the second half, but again we didn't get it. That would have given us something to kick-start on."We hit the post and bar in the first half and their keeper made one great save, but we should have taken our chances."
