Smith frustrated despite draw

Walsall boss Dean Smith was left disappointed after his side failed to claim all three points in a 1-1 draw with MK Dons. The Saddlers, buoyant after Saturday's 5-2 win over Hartlepool, went ahead through Matthew Richards in the 29th minute before Peter Leven restored parity from the penalty spot just after half-time. "I'm disappointed that we came away with one point rather than the three," he said. "I feel when we take the lead in games now we'll go on and take the three points - unfortunately it wasn't to be. "MK Dons had a lot of possession and a lot of chances but we certainly worked their goalkeeper a lot as well. "The unfortunate thing is the defining moments - Manny Smith didn't feel it was a penalty. He said he's got the ball first and the reaction of our players and where the ball went tells me that it wasn't but I'll have to judge it when I see it on the video. "It's fine lines, that's the unfortunate thing about it. There were a lot of decisions during the game that I felt didn't go our way but you just get on with it."
