Walsall have appointed former Lincoln City manager John Schofield as their new first-team coach.
The 43-year-old joins the Saddlers to assist boss Jimmy Mullen, having been axed by the Red Imps in late 2007, before a spell on the coaching staff at Scunthorpe United.
Mullen told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have John on board. He's a young guy with a wealth of experience.
"He has experience of youth development and has also held a number of coaching and managerial positions.
"He's a welcome addition to the backroom staff and I'm looking forward to working with him."
