Saddlers lose loanee Williams

Walsall have lost the services of loan striker Sam Williams, who has returned to Aston Villa for treatment on a hip injury.

The 21-year-old had scored once in five appearances as a substitute for the Saddlers, with his initial month's loan set to end after the weekend in any case.

Boss Chris Hutchings told the club's official website: "He is currently waiting to see a specialist to discover the extent of his hip problem.

"He's in the hands of the Villa medical people now and we will monitor his situation before we can consider having him back.

"I am disappointed for him, but he has to be 100 per cent before getting back into training."
