In five matches, The Saddlers have scored just once from open play - an Andy Whing own goal on the opening day of the season at Brighton.

Yet Parkin, who has scored two goals from the penalty spot, has vowed to find his form and help the team up the league table.

"The goals are going to come, I'm hungry, motivated and the side is looking good," he told the Express and Star.

"Everyone knows I've got ability but in the last couple of years it's been getting it out. I've got a clean bill of health and a new club. It's a fresh start and I'm eager to do well."
