The 21-year-old has put pen-to-paper to a new deal which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2011. Deeney, joint-top scorer for the Saddlers with 12 goals last season, has yet to get off the mark this season. "I am very pleased to have my immediate future sorted out," he told the club's official website. "Having just become a father, this was important to me. I want to concentrate on my football and progress." He added: "It's time for me to start scoring goals - my aim is to be top scorer for the next two years. I want to get my first of the season and then kick on from there."
