Saddlers star: Goals will come

The Saddlers have failed to find the net in 371 minutes of football, racking up three successive goalless draws in the process. In fact they have only scored five times in eight games this season, but Byfield believes just one will get them going. "I think we just need a little bit of luck in front of goal and once the first one comes I think the rest will follow," he told the club's official website. "I'm happy with my performances but I just want to get on that scoresheet. I'm dying for a goal. I am tiring a little towards the end of games but the more games I get then the fitter I'll be." On the flip side, despite Walsall's failures in attack, they have got into the habit of keeping the opposition out and Byfield is fully aware that is crucial for any team at any level to succeed. He added: "I think, especially the way we are playing defensively with three clean sheets, we have the basis of a good team. Football is a confidence sport and we can take a lot of confidence from the performance at Norwich on Saturday."
