Saddlers skipper eyes play-offs

The Saddlers have looked a different proposition under the guidance of Chris Hutchings and Martin O'Connor - losing just one of their last six games.[LNB]The New Year period was seen as make or break for the West Midlands outfit and, after murmurs of a possible relegation battle, the club are firmly heading in the right direction with 42 points left to play for.[LNB]And although Hughes remains realistic, he has not lost all hope of being in the running come May. He told the Birmingham Mail: "We are on a little run now and are feeling positive.[LNB]"But it was only the week before last that the press were asking me about a relegation battle. Fingers crossed, we can climb away from that and maybe we could just sneak into the play-off race. You never know.[LNB]"It is all about going on little runs and we are unbeaten in four. There is a real never-say-die attitude among the lads. We have a very small squad but a good blend of young and old and are really together."[LNB][LNB]
