Saddlers extend Davis deal
Walsall have extended the loan deal of Wolves midfielder David Davis by another month.
The 19-year-old, who has started every game for the Saddlers since he joined on an initial month's loan in September, was due to return to Molineux after the crucial home clash with Exeter on Saturday, but he will now remain at the Banks's Stadium until November 2.
However, the Premier League club have inserted a 24-hour recall clause in the deal which Wolves boss Mick McCarthy deemed necessary especially due to the recent red card picked up by captain Karl Henry.
McCarthy told the Express & Star: "I'd already said to Walsall's manager Chris Hutchings that he could keep him for another month but with an immediate recall clause. We have agreed that with `Hutch' and the paperwork has also been ratified.
"If after he plays at the weekend and I need him - even to be a substitute or part of the squad - then I can call him back.
"I said he could stay and play games there but they are having it tough as well. But Karl's situation affects things and I might end up calling him back."
