Saddlers coping with conditions

Boss Chris Hutchings insists his squad and coaching staff are coping with the wintry conditions as best they can while acknowledging the Boxing Day trip to Bristol Rovers must already be "a major doubt". The Saddlers have seen December matches against Oldham and Southampton postponed, playing just one match in four weeks, while training has also been hampered. After the latest heavy snowfall to hit the Midlands on Wednesday morning, Hutchings told the club`s official website: "We are grateful to the University of Wolverhampton for allowing us to use their indoor facilities. "It means we can do some 11 v 11 work rather than splitting the group between the gym and Field Turf as was the case earlier in the week. "It`s frustrating but everyone is in the same boat. We`re dealing with the situation the best we can and making sure our preparation is right. "You can`t do anything about the elements and, being realistic, Sunday`s game is already a major doubt. All we can do is prepare in the correct manner as if the game is going ahead until we are told otherwise."
