Walsall manager Dean Smith felt his side were unlucky to lose their four-match unbeaten run to promotion chasing Bournemouth at the Banks's Stadium. A second-half goal from Michael Symes clinched a 1-0 win for the Cherries, who are second in the table and unbeaten in six matches since Lee Bradbury took over as boss. Smith said: "We gave it a good go and I am disappointed and frustrated that we didn't come away with at least a point. "I don't think we deserved to lose in view of the fight and spirit the lads have shown, but unfortunately we did not take our chances. "I thought it was a scrappy game but we tried to play decent football. We perhaps tried to chase it too early when Bournemouth scored their goal and left ourselves open. "But I still felt we were in the game and in the last 10 minutes we threw people forward to try to get something out of it."
