Walsall have stepped up their preparations for the new season with the signing of four players. Winger Julian Gray, defenders Aaron Lescott and Oliver Lancashire and goalkeeper David Bevan have all agreed one-year contracts with the Saddlers. Gray spent the latter part of last season at the Banks's Stadium after signing a short-term deal in February, while 31-year-old Lescott joins from Bristol Rovers. Central defender Lancashire signs on after his release from Southampton and Bevan, a former Republic of Ireland youth international, was a free agent. Boss Chris Hutchings was delighted with the capture of the quartet and told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have signed these four players. They all bring their own qualities. "I am pleased with the transfer business we have been able to complete."
