Pitman: Manset is a handful

Hereford manager Jamie Pitman is bracing himself for a flurry of interest in Mathieu Manset after he was on the scoresheet again to knock Wycombe out of the FA Cup. The French forward scored the only goal of the game - his 12th of the season and his sixth in his last seven matches - to secure a 1-0 win and a fourth-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday. Pitman said: "We were up against a very good Wycombe side who put us under pressure. We had some chances early on but they defended very well, but in the end our lads worked very hard. "Obviously, the publicity with Mathieu (Manset) is going to be there because he is a handful and he is now scoring goals, which means he'll be attracting attention from everyone. "He's a big, strong lad who has got good technical ability and he can be anything he wants to be if he keeps working hard because if he doesn't then he's not the same player. "It was a bit like deja vu from when we played them on Boxing Day when we had some chances early on and played very well then they hit us on the counter-attack.I now owe the players a bit of money because we hadn't scored any from set-pieces and I told the players that if they did then I'd chuck some money in their kitty."
