Former Oldham schoolboy Steve Jones played a huge part in the Latics' downfall, helping to create his side's first goal for Troy Deeney before scoring the second.[LNB]Jones was then scythed down in the 43rd minute by Lee Hills, who was duly sent off, and Deeney added a third for Walsall with 10 minutes remaining.[LNB]The Saddlers are now unbeaten in five league and cup matches, but O'Connor is keeping his feet on the ground.[LNB]"We're just taking each game as it comes, and the next one is an FA Cup tie at Brentford," he said. "We go there with confidence because we have scored three goals and kept a clean sheet.[LNB]"We deserved our victory. We were the better team in the first half but a bit sloppy at the start of the second half although 2-0 up, and that's been a trait with us."[LNB][LNB]
