New Saddlers deal for Boertien

Walsall left-back Paul Boertien has penned a new deal that will keep him at the Banks' Stadium until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old signed a six-month contract with the Saddlers last month but new boss Chris Hutchings has been impressed with the defender's form since he was named boss.

"Paul's a very experienced player," Hutchings told the club's official website.

"We're delighted to have secured his services until the end of the season. I'm sure he will play an important role at this football club throughout the remainder of the campaign."
