Mullen happy with Gerrard

Walsall boss Jimmy Mullen insists he is happy to continue playing Anthony Gerrard despite the defender being on the transfer list.

Gerrard, 22, has made 19 appearances for the Saddlers this season despite informing Mullen of his desire to leave the Banks's Stadium.

"Me and Anthony get on very well. He's a determined young man and wants to play at the highest level," said Mullen.

"Everyone has a right to do that. What happens, we'll have to wait and see.

"As long as Anthony's playing and performing well, I'm happy, he's happy and I'm sure the supporters are happy."
