Money slams Ricketts rumour

Walsall boss Richard Money has dismissed rumours that he is hoping to bring former Saddlers striker Michael Ricketts back to the club this summer.

The 28-year-old one-time England cap started his career with Walsall and is a free agent after leaving Preston North End at the end of the season.

However, Money is adamant that he has made no move to bring Ricketts back to the Bescot Stadium.

Money told the Express & Star: "I keep hearing these rumours like everybody else, but we have not spoken to Michael.

"I keep hearing from other people that he is signing for us, but there has been no contact with him."
