Walsall manager Richard Money was elated after seeing his side clinch a quickfire return to League One with a 2-1 victory at Notts County.
Trevor Benjamin's late strike set off a promotion party for the Saddlers, as Money celebrated a successful end to his first season at the Bescot Stadium.
Money told the club's official website: "That could well be the worst that we have played this season, but who gives a damn.
"I have been delighted with the heart and spirit we have displayed, not only today, but all season.
"We scored two good goals and at this stage of the season it is the result and not the performance that matters most.
"I am delighted that we have achieved promotion in front of around 2,500-3,000 travelling fans who were tremendous throughout.
"Each and every one of the players have done me proud."
