Walsall manager Richard Money is keen to add two new players to his promotion-chasing squad.
The Saddlers boss wants to sign a defender and a striker but will not be rushed into making any panic buys.
"I don't want anyone thinking that we're on the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week trying to bring players in," Money told the Express & Star. "That's not the situation at all.
"I'm more than happy with what we've got, but we do need a central defender because we're not going to go through the rest of the season injury and suspension-free, I wouldn't think, and I'd like to bring another striker in.
"But as ever in these situations, I'm not going to bring someone in for the sake of it.
"We have one or two players earmarked and we'll wait until they either become available or are not available before we move on."
