Walsall boss Richard Money was full of praise for his players and the club's supporters following the 2-1 win at home to Tranmere Rovers.
The Saddlers hit back from a goal down to see off their play-off rivals and Money was delighted with a good afternoon's work.
He told the Express & Star: "There was a real togetherness between the players and the supporters.
"The backing that we received was the best that it has been here in my two years. They gave us what we asked for and contributed to our victory.
"We were together. I think the fans could see the result meant a lot to the team and their efforts on the terraces were absolutely first-class. I think it was one of the reasons we were able to turn it around.
"The one thing that you can say about our team all season is that we've been competitive and we've always had this never-say-die attitude."
