Marshall shrugs off drop fears

Walsall midfielder Paul Marshall insists the club will not let their growing relegation fears affect them. The Saddlers go to Charlton on Sunday knowing they could be further from safety on Saturday night with relegation rivals Tranmere and Leyton Orient playing each other. Marshall told the Express & Star: "It's a big gap already and if it gets bigger that won't do us any good," "But we'd back ourselves against anyone. "Look at the players we've got, Darren Byfield, Jon Macken and Julian Gray are all good players, Steve Jones is back from injury and is a very good winger when he's on form." He added: "It's frustrating with the snow, everything is frozen but there's not much we can do. It's just hard for us to do anything. We can't even train, the training ground is frozen, everything is."
