Marshall keen to end goal drought
Midfielder Paul Marshall has urged Walsall to make their Christmas wish for more goals come true.
The Saddlers have found the net just 18 times this term - the lowest in npower League One - as they struggle at the wrong end of the table.
And as Chris Hutchings' side prepare for crucial festive fixtures against fellow strugglers Bristol Rovers, Dagenham & Redbridge, Notts County and Tranmere, Marshall - who has only netted once himself - wants to see the club hit the goal trail.
"No-one is really scoring and that's our biggest problem," he told the Express and Star.
"Losing Jon Macken and Reuben Reid to injury recently was a big blow for us because they were playing well. We need someone to start scoring, it could be anyone as the chances are coming but they don't seem to be going in.
"Once they start going in maybe they'll go in more and more."
