Lescott lay-off extended

Aaron Lescott is again Walsall`s only absentee as manager Dean Smith looks to spoil Brighton`s promotion party and bolster the Midlands club`s survival ambitions. The defender has been missing since the goalless draw at Swindon on March 5, with his knee ligament strain proving to be more troublesome than first anticipated. But there is a chance Lescott may be back in contention over the Easter period, although Smith will not gamble on his fitness at such a crucial stage of the season. The Saddlers climbed out of the relegation zone after Tuesday`s dramatic 3-2 win over Brentford and are eying back-to-back league wins for the first time since August. However, they know their task will not be easy against a Brighton side who secured promotion to the Championship in midweek and will clinch the League One title with victory at the Banks`s Stadium.
